ABOUT US
Hey there – my name is Alex – owner and founder of Minerva Consultation, a ‘consulting’ firm I established back in 2015, and officially LLC’ed in 2019. Minerva’s work – and outlook towards solutions – is based on my background work which sat at in the intersection of math and humanities in physics and philosophy respectively. My graduate tenure in both provided me a highly critical and analytical modality through which to approach problems and thus, derive highly unique solutions. Thankfully, my work as a professor also made my pedagogical approach highly flexible; my goal is to understand a client’s needs and, throughout our relationship, create specific goals to reach your highest potential.
When I was a professor of Philosophy I used to teach Plato who, in one of his writings (The Theaetetus) describes the role of a philosopher as a ‘midwife for the ideas of others’ and when I first heard that, I recognized how profound a statement it was. And this is what I do, and what Minerva does; we approach our clients problems as an opportunity to help each learn something new, grow in a new way, or learn how to solve things sustainably, and on their own.
With a resume focused on mainly educational support and vocational counseling, I still love to take on the occasional problem in small business support, operations, strategy, management, and analytics. Being candid, I am not in love with C-Suite Consulting but genuine business’ goals aimed towards efficiency, sustainability, diversity, non-profit, and educational policy – I provide the same support as I do with my personal clients.
